2001 Minnesota Twins Roster

The team came together in 2001 and in Tom Kelly's final year as manager, which saw him go from World Champions to the cellar and back to World Champions, before a near decade of rebuilding and perpetual prospects...the Minnesota Twins came in a close second. Joe Mays pitched masterfully, and was joined by Radke and Milton in the starting rotation. The lineup was solid in the batter's box, and on the field, with Torii Hunter and Doug Mientkiewicz winning their first Gold Gloves. Christian Guzman was joined by Mays and Milton at the annual All-Star game and the winning ways saw an attendance surge to 1,782,926. 2001 also saw the Cooperstown Hall of Fame get two new members...Dave Winfield and Kirby Puckett!
