What's with the trenchcoats? Creepy. I guess, when your nickname is "Senor Smoke", you have the right to wear a trenchcoat.

On behalf of the entire TwinsCards.com staff, thanks for the kind words. Scot is our lead blogger and does a great job. You may also be interested in his own blog, Coffeyville Whirlwind, which provides more Twins history as well as franchise history dating back to the beginning of the Senators franchise.

We hope you keep coming back. Please feel free to peruse the other areas of the site...it's not just cards.

Today is the first time I have looked at your blog. I just wanted to write and tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed it and will look more often. Being a Twins fan since 1961, you bring back a lot of memories for me. My first favorite player was #17, Camilo Pascual.

And I sure wish my mom hadn't thrown away all my baseball cards from the early '60s.

Keep up the good work! And thank you.

How many Twins players have seven letters in their first name? How many in their last name?

The other "U" is currently with the San Francisco Giants organization, longtime Director of Player Personnel.

George Tsamis has become a mainstay as the manager of the St. Paul Saints, where he also is heavily involved in player acquisitions.

I wonder if he ever comes to games at the Metrodome.

Hrbie...by far, my favorite player of all-time. Mickey is second (but a far second).

Hrbek always said he wanted to be a pro wrestler when he retired...and wrestle under the name of T-Rex. He would have made a great wrestler!

One of the first Twins games I went to was one with Disco Dan playing OF for the Twins!

And finally....Carroll Hardy is the answer to a very famous baseball trivia question....anybody?
