Hi Brian,

Glad you like the site...it's many hours in the making, by many contributors.

There are still some quirks we need to work out, but the 74 TT xlist does exist here http://rangerscards.com/viewcardscategorydetail.php?catnum=4725

Unfortunately, if a list doesn't have an image, it won't display. Thankfully, all cards will have images, eventually.

As for the omissions from the other lists, they are assigned the wrong team for now. Usually, we correct these when an image is uploaded, for lack of better resource. Click the profile link at the top if you're interested in uploading.

Thanks again for your interest!!

I just recently found this site while looking for checklists to finally organize my Rangers collection. While sorting and collating, I discovered the following omissions from your checklists..
1974 Topps-#184 Team Card isn't listed
1975 Topps-#308 1974 RBI Leaders and #511 Team cards not listed
1978 Topps-#22, #659, #706 and #710 not listed.

Also, I didn't see a checklist for the 1974 Traded Set. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks for having such a great resource!!!

I'd assume that "Up and Down the Ladder" is a drinking game, but could be a reference to construction of the mall or taking turns at sneaking a peak over the fence.

If it weren't for the fan reactions at the game, you'd have big gaps in information as to what's going on at the plate. I've noticed that Gordo has been mistaking the call on some plays too, calling players by different names and forgetting the count. His traditionally excellent voice and calling goes a long way in my book, and I'll take him over many of the other announcers in the league. I almost crap myself every time I hear about "A Bombs, from A Roid"... barf. What is with that annoying whistle when opposing batters strike out?

While I do like the insight that Jack and Dan provide into the lives and games of the players, they do get long-winded, and overshadow the importance of the actual game.

Chris Attababy is the odd man out, the equivalent of FSN's Lapanta. I don't like his voice for the every day calling though. It's not sharp enough, and seems a little bland. He's great for a break at the game, and fits alot into such a small time frame. He handles the technological glitches well when they happen too, and is smooth in transition.

How about all of the plugs that the guys throw in for Cambria and the like. If it pays for bigger and better signals, I guess they can put a tag on anything. Sadly, those endorsements probably do not provide proportional benefit to the fans.

It seems the Twins announcers must be getting paid by the word. So often they try to cram all of their "knowledge" into every available second. So often, this leads to a complete disregard to what is actually happening in the game. I am looking for a place to find an archive. I don't know how it is possible, but tonight I think there was a one and two count on a Twins batter before either announcer even mentioned that three pitches had already been thrown!! Last Saturday, Jack Morris and Dan Gladden talked for over an inning about umpires and how best to deal with them as players. Again, what was going on in the game was completely secondary to what opinions they wished to share. Herb Carneal better not be hearing all of this!

It does look like MLB audio is very affordable at $19.95 yearly. If it weren't for the solid local radio broadcast (KROC 1340), this would be a great option.

Why did WCCO ever stop broadcasting the games? They were very dependable, and their signal carried far outside the metro. I do like the fact that you see more FM stations carrying the Twins, which has got to say something of their efforts to expand the audience. Part of the fun of driving across the state is knowing that you'll probably be able to listen to the game the whole way, aside from a few valleys.

Preempting the Twins for anything is an outrage, even if it is basket weaving.

Twins radio ain't what it used to be. Flagship KSTP is hard to get even in parts of the metro area. The Twins Radio Network features stations that cut power at sundown and preempt the Twins for financial call-in shows, junior high basket-weaving contests, discussions of arena football, etc.And TRN doesn't even have an accurate least of these partial partners.

The MLB on-line radio package is nice if you're on a computer, and there's XM radio if you want the attendant hassles, but these don't connect potential fans with other fans in their area.

Des Moines, Iowa, for example, is considered the market territory of Brewers, Twins, Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals and Royals. How are the Twins increasing the fan base outside of the Twin Cities?
